Transfer students can continue their Associate in Arts and Sciences degree with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Health Sciences.

The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health and Safety and Master of Science in Safety Management are accredited by the American Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET).

The Master of Public Health is accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH).

APPLYMEET THE FACULTY

Welcome to the Department of Public and Environmental Wellness. “Pursuing society’s big health challenges,” our programs focus on equipping students with the tools needed to lead the charge of health promotion among individuals, communities, and workplaces.

We take great pride in advocating for and advancing the health and safety of diverse communities through engagement and service. Our faculty members are dedicated to student success, using the best teaching and learning strategies to deliver a robust curriculum. As scholars, faculty provide students access to new knowledge as well as opportunities to gain valuable research experience.

We are deeply connected to our local community and industry partners. These relationships enable students to immediately put into practice the theories and concepts they are learning in the classroom. Service learning projects, practicums and internships give students “real world” experience while also connecting them to local employers.

Our department is a great place for those looking for a rewarding career that will positively impact the needs of communities.
